What You’ll Be Doing:
- Coordinating bookings for all inbound and outbound waste
- Managing phones and emails, supporting customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Confirming quotations and preparing essential paperwork (Con Notes, Waste Declarations)
- Maintaining accurate digital and manual records
- Creating purchase orders when authorised
- Supporting site inductions alongside our Health & Safety Manager
- Welcoming visitors and keeping the traffic schedule up to date
- Building and maintaining our disposal route database
- Working closely with the MD, Site Manager, and Operations Manager on daily load planning
- Liaising with the Site Manager on packaged waste stock and processing
- Managing the Garage round with Slicker and overseeing Peter Cooper waste collections
- Monitoring driver compliance with working time directives
- Ensuring Digital Tacho Card downloads and managing infringement reporting
- Checking vehicle defect reports and arranging maintenance and 6-weekly inspections
Qualifications:
- A confident, friendly telephone manner and strong customer service skills
- Clear communication with drivers, yard teams, and colleagues
- Good literacy and numeracy for handling paperwork
- A willingness to learn and grow
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Competence in Word and Excel
