The Role
As a key member of our operations team, you’ll take charge of servicing, repairing, installing and maintaining a wide range of equipment, vehicles, building facilities and marine systems. You’ll lead projects, and ensure every job meets our industry‑leading quality standards. This is a role for someone who enjoys responsibility, takes pride in precision, and isn’t afraid to get stuck in.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Overhauling, servicing and repairing mechanical, vehicle and marine/ship systems
- Leading and training staff, ensuring safe and efficient working practices
- Liaise with operations managers to help plan and organise projects
- Completing surveys, reports and customer sign‑offs with accuracy and professionalism
- Managing waste and by‑product disposal in line with environmental legislation
- Using ultrasonic cleaning, wet blasting and HP jet washing equipment
- Operating workshop machinery and tools
- Working in a workshop environment, carrying out the refurbishment and overhaul of engineering equipment
- Ensuring compliance with H&S, COSHH, ISO standards and company procedures
- Travelling to customer sites across the UK and overseas
- Promoting Marlin’s high standards at every interaction
What You Bring
- Strong mechanical engineering knowledge, ideally with marine/ship systems experience
- Awareness of ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001
- Confidence liaising with customers and understanding their technical needs
- Engineering/fitting qualifications
- Minimum 1 year’s experience with marine systems
- Environmental and spill response training (or willingness to undertake it)
