We’re looking for a proactive Junior Health & Safety Advisor to join our team and support the delivery of high‑quality SHEQ standards across the business. You’ll play a hands‑on role in keeping people safe, shaping best practice, and helping us maintain a culture where safety always comes first.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the planning, implementation and monitoring of Health, Safety, Environment & Quality activities
- Carrying out risk assessments, site inspections and accident/incident investigations
- Recording and maintaining accurate SHEQ documentation
- Delivering induction training and internal SHEQ training sessions
- Conducting face‑fit testing and ensuring safe use of equipment
- Presenting safety information to employees and managers
- Liaising with customers, HSE and internal SHE teams
- Ensuring compliance with current legislation
- Assisting with audits, spot checks and yard checks
- Promoting a positive safety culture across the organisation
Qualifications What You’ll Bring
- Excellent attention to detail and a natural ability to identify hazards
- Confidence in recommending practical risk‑reduction measures
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) – essential
- Ability to hold Tech IOSH status – essential
- Additional qualifications such as ISO knowledge, PTLLS, Environmental Management or Internal Auditor – desirable
- Full clean driving licence
- Willingness to undertake further training and achieve SC Clearance
