EE Glass is a leading manufacturer of Energy Efficient, insulated glass products, based in Portsmouth.
We are seeking a skilled Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing processes and ensure efficiency and quality in our production operations.
With our continuous investment in state-of-the-art equipment, our production facilities can supply our customers with the latest in glass technologies.
We are a highly responsive business that understands some jobs need a very quick turn-around.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate production operations and activities.
- Implement and manage business processes to enhance productivity and quality control
- Conduct quality control checks to uphold product standards
- Provide strong leadership and ensure that product quality standards are met, and customers receive their orders on time, and to their specification.
- Monitor and action transport KPI reports.
- Supply an essential link between sales & customer services, supply chain, production, quality and despatch.
- Supervise production staff, providing guidance, training, and support
- Ensure that direct labour, raw materials and fabrication resources are used effectively and efficiently.
- Develop, engage, and build a dedicated and effective team
- Comply and educate staff on safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Help resolve employee issues
Skills and experience
- Previous production management experience within glass processing desirable
- Production management experience within the manufacturing industry
- Strong understanding of business processes, supply chain management, and quality control practices
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
- Highly organised, self-motivated with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations
- Computer literate for production planning, reporting, using bespoke software and Microsoft packages
Hours
Primarily day shift with some occasional flexibility to work different hours depending on the needs of the business.
