PurposeAs a member of the Agency Sales Team you will play a pivotal role in shaping edyn\âs transient (TMC) and specialist agency (Entertainment) segment sales strategy, achieving revenue targets across the UK, Ireland and Europe. Supporting the Head of Agency Sales, you will collaborate on client activity, RFP strategy, marketing and networking opportunities. Central to this role will be the ability to work across internal teams including sales, distribution, revenue and operations, building strong partnerships and remaining outcomeâfocused. You will manage a portfolio of key TMC and Entertainment clients delivering bestâinâclass account management, grow edyn\âs market share and achieve defined B2B revenue targets for your portfolio and new transient and specialist agencies.
Responsibilities
Manage existing agency clients: relationship management for a portfolio of clients, achieving portfolio revenue targets, delivering and executing client activity plans, attending client review meetings, owning and executing agreed activities within the TMC/Consortia sales activity calendar, timely completion of RFPs, responding to enquiries, product training with all portfolio agency accounts, working with the Distribution team to update property and promotional content, reviewing trading conditions with Revenue team, delivering regular sales activity updates, attending trade shows, conferences and networking events, working crossâfunctionally to ensure key departments are involved.
Planning, seeking and winning new business: conduct research and prospecting to uncover potential new target corporate clients, gather agency data, qualify and follow up leads, manage sales activity to ensure continuous new business acquisition, recommend and attend exhibitions, business events and conferences, plan and execute B2B marketing activities for assigned accounts.
Internal systems: ensure each account is correctly set up within edyn, work closely with reservations, revenue and finance teams, maintain accurate CRM records, keep internal databases upâtoâdate, produce sales activity and production reports, use Word, PowerPoint and Excel for presentations and reporting.
Selfâdevelopment: maintain knowledge of company network and key locations, develop strong knowledge of agency sectors and hospitality/serviced apartment sectors, competent navigation of software packages, commit to additional training as required by the company.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications
At least 4 years\â experience in the hotel sector, looking after ÂŁ3m+ of annual business.
Business travel management experience preferred.
Commercial awareness, planning & organisation, communication, problem solving, determination to deliver targets.
Tenacity and emotional intelligence â identifying and taking every opportunity while optimising client relationships.
Fundamental understanding of the business and edyn values.
Experience
Solid previous agency sales and account management experience in hospitality or corporate accommodation in the UK and Continental Europe with a strong network.
