Senior Development Manager

Purpose of the role

The Senior Development Manager leads the delivery of new edyn properties and major projects across the existing portfolio. From site acquisition and feasibility through to refurbishments, extensions and handover, this role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest design and brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• New Development
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of new hotels/aparthotels, including feasibility, planning, design, construction and handover.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary project teams of architects, engineers, QS and contractors.
  • Support investment appraisals and business cases for new developments.
• Existing Properties
  • Lead major refurbishment, repositioning and extension projects across the edyn portfolio.
  • Deliver large-scale capital works such as HVAC replacements, façade upgrades and guestroom redesigns.
  • Ensure refurbishments align with brand standards, sustainability goals and guest experience expectations.
• Financial & Commercial
  • Manage budgets, forecasts and project returns, ensuring robust financial governance.
  • Negotiate with landlords, JV partners and contractors to secure best value.
• Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Design and Finance to ensure smooth delivery and operational integration.
  • Build strong relationships with local authorities, planning teams and external partners.

Skills & Experience

• Strong track record in property development and project management, ideally in hotels, residential or mixed-use.
• Experience managing both new build and refurbishment projects.
• Commercially astute with strong financial modelling and appraisal experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Degree-qualified in property, construction management, surveying or related field.
