Dreaming of being a part of a hotel-opening in the heart of Canary Wharf London? Locke London Canary Wharf sits waterside in one of London’s most dynamic districts, moments from the Thames and surrounded by striking modern architecture. Opening in April 2026, the hotel will offer 279 thoughtfully designed rooms and suites set across 19 floors, many with expansive views across Canary Wharf and the city skyline. The building brings Locke’s signature mix of design, atmosphere and energy to East London, with an Italian all‑day restaurant, a ground‑floor coffee shop, and Canary Wharf’s first rooftop restaurant and bar, offering breathtaking views in a glamorous setting, full of personality.
We’re looking for full‑ and part‑time F&B Hosts/Servers to join our team! Start date: Latest 9th March 2026. We open our doors on 1 April, which means that we would like the whole team to join us on‑site one month earlier. This training period is a key part of bringing the hotel to life together; we will get to know the hotel, learn our systems, and build the foundation for a great opening. To give everyone the best possible start, this timeframe is fixed.
The role
Are you a natural host? A people person with next‑level organisational skills? Do you get a kick from creating a seamless guest experience? Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you’ll be a key member of the Food & Beverage team and the face of the Locke brand. It’ll be up to you to make our guests feel at home from the minute they arrive in the Bar & Restaurant, until the minute they leave (if they can bring themselves to do that…).
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Experience: Create memorable, tell‑your‑mates’ moments that make guests want to return.
- Bar & Restaurant Service: Be the welcoming, reliable face guests naturally turn to. Take orders, process payments, prepare and serve both alcoholic drinks and hot beverages.
- Food Service: Deliver dishes from the kitchen to guest tables with confidence, care and good timing.
- Barista: Crafting consistently excellent espresso‑based drinks and pour‑overs using top quality beans and equipment.
- Reservations & Enquiries: Handle restaurant reservations and guest queries online, by email, phone and in person with a positive, can‑do attitude.
- Cross‑Team Communication: Keep communication smooth with Reception, Maintenance and other departments to ensure great service.
- Feedback & Issue Resolution: Support with guest feedback and resolve any issues in a calm, professional and solution‑focused way.
You’ll succeed in the above with:
- Experience as a server or in a guest‑facing role (a plus, but not a requirement).
- Being yourself – we want you to bring your personality to work!
- Flexibility – this includes flexibility in working days (including weekends and bank holidays) and working hours.
- Being proactive, confident, responsible and reliable.
- Intuitive customer service.
