EDX Markets is seeking a Managing Director, Business Development - UK to help scale our institutional business with regulated financial institutions as digital assets continue to mature as an asset class. This role is focused on developing and expanding strategic relationships with banks, regulated brokerages, asset managers, and investment platforms that are evaluating or launching crypto trading capabilities. The VP will serve as a senior, client-facing commercial partner, working closely with institutional clients to understand their business models, regulatory constraints, and execution requirements. You will help clients assess how digital assets can be integrated alongside existing asset classes, while positioning EDX Markets as a trusted, institution-ready marketplace built on the best practices of traditional financial markets. This role is suited for someone with strong traditional markets experience, established relationships, and the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions, support client onboarding, and drive sustainable revenue growth. In this role, you will also provide market-driven insights that inform commercial strategy and product development as EDX continues to expand its institutional footprint in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships for the EDX Group with UK-based banks, asset managers, regulated brokerages, and investment platforms.
  • Drive new client acquisition and revenue growth through direct origination and structured commercial engagements.
  • Support institutional clients evaluating digital assets within existing trading, brokerage, and custody frameworks.
  • Structure and negotiate institutional commercial agreements, including pricing, liquidity programs, and incentive arrangements.
  • Manage pipeline activity, account plans, and CRM reporting with discipline and accuracy.
  • Partner cross-functionally with technology, legal, operations, and onboarding teams to support a seamless institutional client experience.
  • Represent EDX Markets in client meetings, industry conferences, and institutional forums.

Experience & Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in institutional sales and/or business development within traditional financial markets, fintech, or market infrastructure.
  • Existing relationships with Europe-based regulated brokerages, banks, or investment platforms strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of institutional market structure, execution, and regulatory considerations.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles and negotiating institutional agreements.
  • Self-directed, highly organized, and comfortable operating as an individual contributor.
  • Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems; Salesforce experience a plus.
