  1. Check all incoming goods against delivery documentation to ensure quantities, product descriptions and batch details are correct. Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and submitted to the office on the day of receipt.
  2. Ensure all outgoing orders are loaded accurately in accordance with delivery and collection documentation. Any discrepancies must be reported immediately. Product must not be released without appropriate collection documentation.
  3. Ensure all incoming alcoholic products arrive with the correct Duty Suspended documentation and notify the office immediately if any documentation is missing.
  4. Maintain warehouse, yard and storage areas in a clean, organised and safe condition at all times.
  5. Ensure stock is correctly stored, accessible and rotated where required. Notify management of slow-moving or obsolete stock.
  6. Complete daily FLT pre-use inspections through VOS VOCO and report defects immediately.
  7. Hold and maintain a valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence and operate equipment in accordance with training and company procedures.
  8. Notify the appropriate person of stock shortages and potential supply issues.
  9. Ensure compliance with all quality procedures and report anything that may compromise product quality, legality or safety.
  10. Ensure Arlington IBCs are folded, labelled and stored ready for return.
  11. Store glass bottles, glass pallets, CHEP pallets, white pallets and IBCs in designated locations.
  12. Complete monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc stock counts and investigate discrepancies.
  13. Manage storage of cleaning and pasteuriser chemicals in designated areas.
  14. Take responsibility for health and safety, reporting accidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences immediately.
  15. Follow all site hygiene and PPE requirements.
  16. Ensure FLTs undergo a deep clean at least once per week.
  17. Maintain high housekeeping standards at all times.
  18. Use company resources responsibly and effectively.
  19. Maintain excellent attendance, timekeeping and reliability standards.
  20. Provide holiday and absence cover for operational and stock control activities as required.
  21. Support production and other departments where required to meet business needs.
  22. Ensure the brewery area is clear and prepared for CO2 deliveries.
  23. Oversee sugar deliveries and ensure safe unloading and storage.
  24. Ensure stock accuracy is maintained through effective goods receipt, storage, stock rotation and reconciliation.
  25. Undertake any other reasonable duties requested by management in line with business requirements.

Person Specification

  • Valid Counterbalance FLT Licence
  • Minimum 3 years warehouse experience
  • Experience of stock control and inventory counting
  • Good numerical and organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise workload
  • Basic computer skills including Outlook and Excel
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Food and beverage manufacturing experience
  • Experience within FMCG accredited environments
  • Knowledge of duty suspended goods procedures
  • Experience of warehouse management or stock control systems
