Your mission is to support the BA management team with insightful analysis and forward-looking guidance to drive the achievement of business objectives. The role operates closely with the six VT Divisions to ensure alignment, consistency, and transparency across the Business Area, while safeguarding compliance with The Way We Do Things. By combining strong analytical support with a structured and collaborative approach, the role contributes to continuous improvement in decision-making, governance, and overall business performance. You will report to the Head of Business Control, Vacuum Technique Business Area.
You will:
- Provide financial analysis of the BA results to deliver insight and support decision making.
- Lead the month-end closing activities on BA-level, ensuring continuity and high-quality, providing cover/support for the VT Head of Business Control where required.
- Identify and drive improvements in reporting and closing processes across the Business Area, working closely with Divisional and FSC teams to ensure consistency and compliance with The Way We Do Things.
- Provide controlling support to BA functions (Finance, HR, SHEQ), proactively identifying information gaps and delivering practical solutions to support effective decision-making.
- Support the VTBA management team in the preparation of Board materials, investment analysis, and the definition and follow-up of divisional and administrative targets.
- Represent VTBA in Group-wide and cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment with Business Area priorities and contributing to the successful delivery of key initiatives.
- Contribute to the standardization and optimization of key processes, promoting best practices and improving consistency across divisions.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses across the business cycle, translating data into clear insights and recommendations to support management decisions, resolve specific business questions, and drive performance improvements.
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a university degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, along with proven experience in Business Control, Finance Transformation, or similar areas. A strong grasp of finance processes, performance management, and reporting is essential. Experience in matrix or international organizational settings will be considered an asset.
