Your role as a Lead Systems Engineer involves applying Systems Engineering for semiconductor manufacturing equipment. The role spans from concept to customer commissioning and field trials, ensuring on-time delivery, within budget and to specification.
You will report to the Systems Engineering Manager and work at the core of our engineering and product development teams using Systems Engineering tools and methods to bring clarity from ambiguity. Your responsibilities include:
- Translating our product vision into clear and concise Requirements using Systems Engineering processes such as Use Cases, Context Diagrams, Architectures, and more.
- Using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods to develop Functional, Logical, and Behavioural architectures to understand the operations and flow of the System.
- Collaborating with and effectively influencing all engineering teams to clarify work packages, manage trade-off studies, and resolve engineering issues.
- Leading and coaching a growing core team of Systems Engineers of all levels of expertise.
- Contributing to the Systems Engineering process development and its integration into the wider company.
- Educating other employees in Systems Engineering to resolve technical challenges.
- Collaborating across multiple cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
- Systems Engineering Degree Bachelors (minimum essential), Masters (desirable), or demonstrable equivalent.
- Chartered Engineer or working towards (desirable).
- Associated Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) qualified (desirable).
- More than 5 years’ experience of practical application of best-practice Systems Engineering in a relatable engineering industry (essential).
- Experience and understanding of working in a regulated, compliance-driven industry such as the semiconductor manufacturing equipment industry (desirable).
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills at multiple organisational levels (essential).
- Able to take ownership and control of a situation and bring people with them (essential).
- High level of integrity and accountability with a results-driven mindset (essential).
