Your role as a Technical Support Engineer is to provide professional and reactive technical support to our customers and customer support teams for the related products. You will report to the Technical Support Manager.
You will:
- Provide professional and reactive technical support to regional customer support in mitigating and resolving product non-conformities or application problems with our customers.
- Support the introduction and maintenance of new product families, systems and upgrades with technical reviews, customer support deliverables, training, and documentation.
- Share technical product feedback and lessons learnt within regional customer support teams, coordinated by the product company.
- Support the regional customer support teams in diagnosis and problem resolution through your own knowledge, analysis, and consultation with Product Company support functions (product maintenance, applications, and controls & software).
- Provide customer support reviews, documentation and project deliverables for the introduction and maintenance (PM/CM) of new product families, systems, and upgrades.
- Drive technical information exchange with regional customer support teams for problem definition, validation testing and solution implementation follow up.
- Document through EMS reporting database all work to standards, producing detailed problem and status reports.
- Document solutions and publish findings through the most appropriate means to ensure continued development of the knowledge in the field.
To succeed, you will need:
- Engineering degree or apprenticeship with relevant technical experience.
- Experience of working and proven in-depth knowledge of EMS.
- Flexible and capable of working in a complex environment.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Resourceful, self-motivated and confident with working on your own initiative.
- Good interpersonal and team working skills.
- Capable of interfacing professionally with customers and suppliers.
- Ability to drive project implementation.
- Ability to develop technical solutions, compliant with requirements within agreed programmes and timescales.
