Sales Administrator in York

An excellent opportunity to join an industry leading business as a Sales Administrator to cover a 12-month maternity contract.
Working hours are 8.30am - 5.00pm (Mon-Thurs) and Friday 08.30am - 4.00pm.
There is the option of 1 day a week working from home after 3-6 months, subject to successful completion of training but this would not apply during times when other team members are on holiday due to on-site cover requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Sales Order Processing
Process sales orders through the ERP system. ensuring everything is accurately received.
Confirm that all information needed by production, purchasing, and finance is complete and compliant with established procedures.
Identify and resolve any queries relating to lead times or product specifications by liaising with production or technical teams.
Provide prompt and accurate order acknowledgements to customers once all details have been confirmed.
Sales Enquiries/Quotations/Orders
Use standard or customer specific price lists to respond to sales enquiries from existing and prospective customers, providing quotations where appropriate.
For non standard products, bespoke specifications, bulk orders, or project based enquiries, refer to the Sales Manager or Directors for guidance or approval.
Maintain accurate records of all quotations, including supporting details, calculations, and assumptions, to ensure full traceability and enable effective future follow up.
Log and track all incoming enquiries and leads, ensuring they are recorded systematically for future reference, follow up activity, and audit purposes.
