An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing Family Law team. The firm is open to applications from candidates across the UK and, for experienced practitioners, there may be the opportunity to establish and develop a new office location in their region with the support of an established and successful practice.

Applications are welcomed from Solicitors, CILEX Lawyers, Chartered Legal Executives, Trainee Solicitors and experienced Family Law Paralegals. Full or Part time considered. Flexible working opportunities and a fantastic opportunity to join a well established firm. Remote opportunities potentially considered.

Depending on experience, the successful candidate will manage or assist with a varied private family law caseload, which may include:

  • Divorce and separation
  • Financial remedy proceedings and negotiations
  • Private children matters
  • Cohabitation disputes
  • Claims under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 (TOLATA)
  • Pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements
  • Separation agreements and protective injunctions

The role may also involve:

  • Taking instructions from new and existing clients
  • Providing clear, practical and commercially proportionate advice
  • Drafting correspondence, statements, applications and agreements
  • Conducting negotiations with solicitors and litigants in person
  • Attending client meetings, conferences and court hearings where appropriate
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm
  • Supervising and developing junior colleagues, where sufficiently experienced
  • Attending networking events and developing professional relationships
  • Supporting marketing and business-development initiatives
  • Contributing to the continued growth of the Doncaster office and Family Law Department
