A brand-new opportunity to join an established legal firm in Hull as a full-time Conveyancing Assistant. You will support the fee earner with duties in relation to property transactions.

THE ROLE:

  • Assisting the fee earner with their caseload and opening new files.
  • Dealing with and responding to enquiries from clients and third parties via oral and electronic/written communication.
  • Locating files to deal with post.
  • Producing letters and documentation to send to clients and third parties.
  • Arranging appointments and diary management.
  • Preparing quotations.
  • Preparing forms associated with stamp duty and dealing with land registry documentation and enquiries.
  • Billing and dealing with payments.
  • Keeping the system up to date.
  • Filing, photocopying, printing and scanning.
  • Adhoc cover for other support staff and reception when needed.
  • Other general administration duties.

THE CANDIDATE:

  • Conveyancing/legal experience is desirable.
  • Possess strong secretarial/administrative skills.
  • Be detail-oriented and precise.
  • Have a motivated and driven attitude.
  • Be organised and proactive.
  • Be proficient in MS Office applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Have strong oral and written communication.
  • Possess a high attention to detail.
