Our York based client is looking to appoint an experienced Clinical Negligence Lawyer to join their well-established team to manage a varied and interesting caseload of claimant clinical negligence work.

THE ROLE:

The role will involve providing legal advice, assistance and representation to their clients on a range of catastrophic injury and medical negligence claims such as spinal cord and brain injuries, cerebral palsy cases, fatal accidents, claims against hospitals and other serious injuries. Working in a claimant environment you will excel at providing expert legal advice to their clients through reviewing medical records, negotiating settlements, issuing proceedings, instructing counsel and obtaining witness statements to achieve the best possible outcome for their clients. Work life balance is very important so they are more than happy to be flexible over working hours if this is needed and can offer a hybrid working pattern. Remote working for the right candidate can also be considered.

THE CANDIDATE:

  • A solid Clinical Negligence background - ideally 1-5 years
  • A positive, commercial approach to delivering legal advice
  • The ability to develop a good rapport with clients
  • Superb levels of client care with an empathetic and understanding approach to working with vulnerable clients
  • Some experience in successful Business Development and Marketing initiatives
