THE ROLE:
- To oversee the raw materials planning function.
- Ordering of proteins to include fresh and frozen raw material.
- To process requests for increases, decreases in a timely manner.
- To identify and communicate any issues arising with supply, shortages and intake issues.
- To co-ordinate production plans.
- To calculate the requirement for materials to come back on a backload.
- To check the short shelf life on a daily basis.
- To confirm receipt of PO's with the suppliers.
- To book in frozen stock to the local storage facility.
- To answer the office phone, liaising with customers to understand their needs.
- To be flexible to take on extra tasks when required by the management team.
- Be on hand to provide assistance to the rest of the team for scenarios such as holiday cover.
THE CANDIDATE:
- The drive to develop, showing continuous improvement in the role, whilst being willing to go the extra mile.
- Good communication skills with the capability to communicate confidently internally and externally.
- Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to work within agreed standards and cope with pressure, working to deadlines and targets demonstrating a positive 'can do' attitude.
- Ability to prioritise work while working under time constraints with deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- IT literacy with experience of processing computer-based data.
- Knowledge of and compliance with all Company Policies, Procedures and Rules.
