THE ROLE: (Remote working position with occasional office meeting presence) The role of the ER Adviser is a remote working position and will require some occasional office attendance. The ER Adviser will deliver an outstanding supportive service offering expert HR advice to their customers and stakeholders, building their trust and gaining credibility.
- To act as the first point of contact providing advice and solutions on all ER matters.
- Responding to a wide range of customer client HR queries quickly and giving accurate advice.
- Drafting template correspondence in relation to ER cases.
- Build strong and credible relationships with all stakeholder groups - capable of working with senior stakeholders.
- Working as a strong team member, supporting the wider team and when necessary assisting/covering colleagues ER casework.
- Work closely with the senior HRBP on HR activities.
- Keep up to date with resource management trends, employment law changes.
- Maintain HR information management systems.
- Be prepared to visit customers when appropriate.
THE CANDIDATE:
- Minimum of 8 - 12 months HR experience in a busy HR department.
- Experience of giving HR and ER advice on employment legislation and conditions of service to ensure compliance and Best Practice.
- Able quickly to gain credibility with all levels of stakeholders.
- Confident in negotiating with trade union reps.
- Confident working with employment policies and procedures.
- Competency in formulation and implementing policies and initiatives.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Highly skilled communicator verbally and written.
- Can demonstrate careful attention to detail, accurate work and capable of working to a high standard.
- Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure in a busy and demanding environment.
