The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

This is an 18-month contract for a Qualified Accountant to join a fantastic finance team as part of a larger global business.

THE BENEFITS:
Hybrid working after probation

THE ROLE:
Responsible for managing financial controls and accounting processes for head office R&D, Laboratory and administrative cost centres, encompassing intercompany recharges across the Group\’s operating companies, as well as the financial management of capital projects.
Produce comprehensive monthly management information and spend reports specifically for the Head Office cost centres.
Lead the preparation of annual financial reports for the Group\’s UK trading and holding companies (a total of 8 entities, 2 of which are trading) in full compliance with FRS101.
Collaborate closely with external tax advisors to lead the preparation of UK tax computations and compile necessary data for the Group\’s R&D tax credit claims. This also involves the management of the Group Payment arrangement with HMRC.
Work with the UK Financial Controller to oversee the external year-end audit, including all necessary liaison with company auditors and tax advisors.
Provide support for the annual budgeting and mid-year forecasting process, with a notable focus on the UK Head Office and Holding Companies.
Offer support to the senior finance team on various ad hoc projects, ensuring alignment with both the Business and Departmental objectives.

THE CANDIDATE:
Immediately Available
Qualified accountant with relevant post-qualification experience.
Detailed knowledge of technical accounting standards and UK statutory reporting is essential; experience with CCH Accounts Production software is desirable.
Sound practical knowledge of financial systems, processes, and cash management.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to transform data into meaningful management information.
Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite.
Experience in extracting and manipulating ERP system data is desirable.
Prior experience within the manufacturing sector is desirable.
