An established engineering firm with a legacy spanning over six decades is seeking a skilled Estimator to join their dynamic and professional team based in Scunthorpe. THE ROLE:

Your job will be to liaise with clients and estimate jobs, ordering of materials and issuing workshop instructions on contract award.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLSET:

  • Preferably from a fabrication background
  • Experience in pressure vessel and/or pipework manufacture
  • Experience in Structural Steelwork manufacture
  • Some knowledge of Welding Procedures and Materials
  • Good knowledge of fabrication and machining workshop practices

The right candidate will be eager to learn, efficient and accurate and fit in well with the existing team. It will be ideally a mixed role and for someone to also work as the Welding Co-ordinator (not full time).

THE CANDIDATE:

A minimum of 3 years of estimating or quantity surveying experience. Be competent in reading from engineers' and architects' drawings, and a background in fabrication would be advantageous.
