Warehouse Operator

Scope of the job:

Assisting in material flows that support re-manufacturing and distribution in the STC. Working as part of the warehouse team, this role will assist in maintaining inventory control, product receiving and shipping activities and safe systems of work, while driving continuous improvement to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction, operational targets and efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Verifying the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries
  • Labeling every product and placing them accordingly
  • Identifying and locating the right products during the delivery process
  • Ships, receives, unloads, pack and handles materials, supplies, and equipment, and maintains inventory control and records
  • Enables timely processing of receiving and shipping activities to maximize customer service levels at the lowest supply chain costs and to support Hub turnaround times
  • Works with inventory in the warehouse which includes stocking shelves and rotates inventory when applicable, maintains shelf-life adherence, delivers, and retrieves material/supplies to and from work or storage areas
  • Maintains the accuracy of exchange pump pool, finished goods, spare parts inventory and associated stock records
  • Issue and distribute spare parts to service repairs/orders as required
  • Distribute all materials needs in production areas (hardware, consumables, chemicals, etc.)
  • Receives and unloads freight, either manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks; may involve receiving and storing of flammable, caustic, or hazardous materials
  • Supporting inventory optimization for business needs
  • Support third party orders to ensure vendor performance is in alignment with operational goals for on time delivery
  • Supporting of equipment setup, leasing, renting and maintenance in the warehouse operations
  • Maintain trainer forklift certification and associated responsibilities for training operators, safe operation of forklift and other mechanical lifting devices
  • Support STC Operational Projects, Continuous Improvements, and STC Operations and KPIs
  • Ensure good housekeeping principles are being used to keep work areas neat and orderly, to include light cleaning and maintenance of equipment and vehicles as required
  • Support the STC to maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety standards at all times
  • Support the local operations team in the allocation of the needed country specific, workplace specific and Product specific trainings for every individual in AG5 and the allocation of the corresponding trainings.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience working within a warehouse environment
  • Experienced MS Office user, power user in MS Excel. SAP or other ERP systems
  • Excellent English spoken and written is a pre-requisite
  • Excellent communication skills, including well-developed inter-personal skills relating to internal members and global operations personnel
  • Self-motivated, good time management
  • Highly motivated and willingness to take the initiative for implementing continuous improvements and to achieve set goals and objectives
  • Able to prioritise own workloa
