Overview
The mission and purpose of the Field Service Engineer is to provide best in class technical support to customers for semiconductor products to ensure system and product safety, uptime, and availability in support for our customers productivity to improve their satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex customer support activities including installation, modification, repair and preventive maintenance tasks of Edwards Vacuum- and Abatement equipment and systems to ensure proper working order.
- Work without direct supervision following established policies and procedures to ensure company and customer quality standards are met.
- Deliver a superior customer experience by applying the company\\\’s core principles.
Qualifications
- Education level: University or formal qualification in a mechanical, electromechanical or electronics discipline.
- Previous field service experience in a relevant or related industry, ideally customer-facing.
- Self-directed, with the ability to understand and resolve problems.
- Complies with all applicable laws, policies, and standards to ensure organizational, safety and health obligations are met.
- Good written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in the home country language; a basic command of written and spoken English is required.
- Ability to understand and interpret technical documentation relevant to the work (e.g., technical drawings).
- Flexibility and willingness to travel on business for several days; class B driver\\\’s license required.

Job location
You will be part of our customer centre team in the U.K. You will join a dynamic field service team, working remotely and spending a significant amount of time traveling to visit customers within your designated area.
