[Mission/Purpose of the Job]
The Demand Planning Leader is responsible for leading the global service demand forecasting process across VSS divisions. This role ensures accurate and timely forecasts for pump repairs and spare parts, supporting inventory planning and supply chain efficiency. The demand planning leader will also manage and develop a team member, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the global service organization.
[Main Responsibilities]
- Global service forecasting process ownership
- Lead monthly demand forecasting across all VSS product groups and business stakeholders in global STC/PC/DC/PC/Field and on-site to support strategic decision-making.
- Drive implementation and optimization of the forecasting tool and process for newly acquired businesses.
- Collaborate with CC teams, global service planning team to ensure forecast accuracy and manage spare parts planning.
- Manage and develop forecast performance to strengthen organisational demand planning capabilities.
- Strategic Long Term demand planning
- Work with Finance & Marketing to gather information regarding business growth forecasts and generate long-term plans to facilitate proactive resource and investment plans at Global STCs and Product Companies.
- Process & Tool improvement project leading
- Lead initiatives to enhance forecasting tools and processes.
- Work closely with Marketing, Digitalization team, and global planning process and tool managers to make the forecasting process more intelligent and efficient.
- Lead the development and delivery of key forecast performance reports (e.g., Forecast vs. Demand vs. Actual, Forecast Accuracy) using Power BI or similar tools.
- Ensure forecasting data integrity and proactively communicate insights to stakeholders to support decision-making.
- Involve or lead various VSS projects requiring forecasting insight as a global demand planning lead in the VSS logistics group.
- Monthly Business Review Meeting (BRM) Leadership
- Own the preparation cycle of forecast-related materials for global BRM meetings.
- Present insights and lead discussions and actions on forecast performance and improvement.
- Cross-functional Collaboration & Guidance
- Support demand-related issue resolution by leveraging data-driven insights, collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Supply Planning, End-to-End Supply Chain), and implementing preventive measures to improve forecast accuracy and responsiveness.
- Provide guidance and share knowledge on forecasting tools, processes, and best practices to global stakeholders.
- Design and deliver global training programs to enhance forecasting capabilities.
- Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead and mentor team members, providing guidance, feedback, and development opportunities.
- Manage and support team tasks ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Foster a supportive team environment for internal and external customers, encouraging cross-functional collaboration and continuous learning.
- Knowledge areas/Skills (minimum level of knowledge to fulfill the role’s responsibilities)
- High level of analytical skills, advanced user of spreadsheets, databases, and Power BI.
- In-depth understanding of supply chain processes, from forecasting and order management through to factory planning and vendor material planning.
- Experience in the after-sales market is beneficial.
- Intermediate to advanced use of planning and reporting systems such as Business Warehouse (BW), SAP-ECC, and SAP APO or equivalents.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Project management skills.

- Highly motivated and strong in self-management.
- Fluent in both written and verbal English.
- Open-minded, with a willing-to-do attitude.
