Edwards Transcatheter Heart Valve team are looking for a senior team member of therapy development for Transcatheter Pulmonary Valve Implants (TPVI). This is a key role within a specialised team, where you can make a strong impact. The focus of the role is to drive market development for Edwards TPVI therapies in key European locations.
In particular this role will be focused on Edwards Alterra & S3 adoption for the region, ensuring optimal patients outcomes via physicians training and case support together with increasing proximity with key accounts. You will manage Alterra & S3 activities in close collaboration with local commercial and marketing teams, as well working with Imaging and Medical Affairs colleagues and other regional teams. The position will require regular local and regional (Europe-wide) travel.
How you will make an impact:
- In partnership with local commercial teams, this role will be focused on building and developing relationships with key accounts and physicians (implanters, financial decision-makers etc).
- Working innovatively with customers in challenging cases to create powerful action plans to meet patients needs.
- Developing further awareness on the therapy.
- Identifying main referral dynamics to help drive business opportunities.
- Increase understanding, awareness and benefits of Edwards TPVI therapies versus alternative options and market competition, using clinical data and evidence to drive growth.
- Identify and participate in key national and international events.
- Increase screening rate in partnership with our Imaging Manager.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Market Access and other internal partners to build local market penetration strategies.
Clinical Expertise:
- Shows extensive and detailed knowledge in pulmonic congenital disease and patient condition over lifetime.
- Educates, trains and certifies physicians, nurses and hospital staff on all aspects of technical matters related to products and procedures including device preparation & imaging through conducting and/or coordinating 1-on-1 training sessions and in-service structured education programs on Edwards technology.
- Provides expert support to physicians or nurses during: Clinical evaluation for the purposes of patient selection and screening; Pre‑procedural planning and assessments (non‑imaging, imaging); Intraprocedural guidance (including imaging modalities, right heart evaluation steps); Procedure outcomes assessment and case debrief.
- Generates procedural and clinical insights that help navigate improvements in EW teaching methods to ensure excellence in clinical support.
- Drives forward TPVI procedure best practices both externally and internally, is recognized as a SME proficient in providing support for treatment decisions.
- Drives efforts to streamline patient pathway management.
- Shows extensive and detailed knowledge in reading imaging data and can interpret echocardiography data, etc.
Coordination and Stakeholder Management:
- Supports all operational aspects of TPVI daily activities including case coverage continuity and activities coordination.
- Work collaboratively with the commercial teams to ensure smooth accounts management (incl. inventory management and invoicing as needed).
- Identify underserved markets and geographies to support therapy awareness objectives.
- Work closely with Sales Operations to ensure smooth accounts management and to develop outreach objectives and timelines.
- Takes lead in new centre activation, collaborating with internal stakeholders within countries for account management activities (including inventory management).
- Anticipates impact of market changes for Edwards’ pulmonic products and shares it across teams.
- Generates insights and reports feedback from customers related to Edwards TPVI products, services, events and customer needs.
What you will need:
- Life Science / Nursing degree in a related field.
- Clinical credibility.
- This role requires strong related experience in structural heart and cardiology.
- Proven skills and expertise in cath lab / OR environment, supporting cardiac and structural heart procedures.
- Demonstrable experience and proven success in a commercial Med Tech role.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence.
- You will be a self-starter with the drive and ability to manage your own calendar with autonomy and a proactive approach.
- Ability to travel as needed, including travel across Europe / Internationally.
