This top-tier US law firm is seeking a senior employment lawyer to lead the London employment practice. Employment is a core area for the firm—making a significant contribution to the global revenues—and the incoming partner will step into a leadership role with a well-established team, strong associate support, and a platform that is both profitable and committed to growth.

This law firm operates as a single, integrated global partnership with over 30 offices and annual revenues exceeding $2.5 billion. The London office, established nearly 30 years ago, is a full-service operation with over 40 partners. It plays a central role in the firm’s international strategy and is home to a number of high billing partners across a number of practice areas corporate, finance, projects, litigation, IP, competition, funds and regulatory. All providing a rich source of potential employment clients.

The London employment practice is fully embedded within the firm’s global employment and labour group—one of the largest of its kind among US firms. The firm runs on a global practice group basis so there is immediate interaction with US colleagues in both the practice group and relevant sectors. In London, the team is compact but highly regarded, with a strong reputation for handling both standalone mandates and complex cross-border support for the firm’s transactional practices.

The practice covers the full range of employment law, which has included:
