Sewing Machinist – Permanent, Full-Time Location: Chesterfield Salary: £12.71 – £13.71 per hour, depending on experience Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm Hours per week: 42.5 hours Contract: Permanent We’re currently recruiting for experienced Sewing Machinists to join a well-established and growing company based in Chesterfield. Due to continued growth and increased demand, the business is expanding its production team and is looking for skilled Sewing Machinists who take pride in their work and are looking for a long-term, permanent opportunity. Your duties will include: Operating industrial lockstitch and overlock sewing machines Sewing a variety of fabric-based products Working with different materials and fabrics Following production instructions and maintaining quality standards Carrying out basic cleaning and preventative maintenance of machinery Preparing and organising materials ready for production Checking finished products for quality Packaging and labelling completed products Working as part of a busy production team About You We’re looking for candidates who have: Previous experience using industrial sewing machines Experience with lockstitch and/or overlock machines A background in sewing, textiles, manufacturing or a similar environment Good attention to detail A strong work ethic and positive attitude The ability to work at pace while maintaining quality Good reliability and attendance The ability to work independently and as part of a team This is a great opportunity for an experienced Sewing Machinist looking for a secure, permanent position with a well-established Chesterfield company, offering consistent Monday-to-Friday hours and competitive pay based on experience.
