The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a skilled Forklift Fitter to join the manufacturing team at the company’s site in Clowne, Chesterfield. The ideal candidate will have solid general engineering skills and experience in assembling, repairing or maintaining forklifts or similar industrial trucks. Full training and support will be provided, but the successful candidate will be expected to work to deadlines from the outset and uphold the high standards expected within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture components using general machining techniques
- Build assemblies and sub-assemblies
- Complete the final construction of forklift trucks
- Carry out functional testing to ensure machines meet required standards
- Follow all quality procedures and company standards
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety requirements
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
Candidate Requirements:
- Strong mechanical engineering experience
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems
- Experience with electrical assembly (desirable)
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Good communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
