We are currently recruiting for Sewing Machinists to join a growing and well-established organisation based in Chesterfield. This company specialises in the design, manufacture, and repair of high-quality products and is continuing to expand its production team due to increased demand.

Salary & Benefits Package
- Salary: £24,186.24 per annum (based on a 38-hour week)
- Flexible working hours available
- Day shifts only
- Monday to Friday working pattern

The Role – Sewing Machinist
As a Sewing Machinist, you will play a key role within the production team, ensuring products are manufactured to a high standard and within set timescales. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating industrial lockstitch and overlock sewing machines
- Manufacturing a wide range of fabric-based products
- Working with various types of fabrics in a fast-paced environment
- Carrying out basic preventative maintenance and routine cleaning of sewing machines
- Organising and preparing materials for production
- Packaging and labelling finished goods accurately
- Supporting the team with additional tasks as reasonably requested by the Line Manager
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience using industrial lockstitch and overlock sewing machines
- Experience working in a fast-paced sewing or manufacturing environment
- A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic
- Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
