We are currently recruiting for a Sewing Machine Technician to join an expanding team at a well-established, Rotherham based company. They design, manufacture and repair products. This is a permanent full-time position.
The successful candidate will have previous Sewing Machine Technician experience. Being adept with Bartack Machines is essential. Any experience fixing Mausser branded machines is a plus! This position will include a lot of sole working so having the right requirements is a must. Being bilingual isn’t essential but a big plus!
Salary Details & Package - Sewing Machine Technician
- Salary £14.40p/h - £16.82p/h
- Day shifts, 40 hours a week
- Monday to Thursday, 7AM-4PM
- Friday 7AM-1PM
- 33 days holiday

The Role – Sewing Machine Technician
As a Sewing Machine Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Executing machine setup, diagnosing issues, conducting repairs, and implementing preventative maintenance
- Conducting unplanned repairs on production machinery while operations are ongoing, as well as executing routine maintenance tasks during scheduled machine servicing.
- Reading and analysing manuals to carry out necessary maintenance and servicing tasks.
- Identifying issues, substituting or fixing components, and testing and calibrating equipment.
- Employing a range of hand and power tools, electrical measuring devices, and equipment for material handling
- Supporting the training of sewing machine operators in the correct setup and functioning of the equipment.
- Updating service records daily
- Complying with safety rules and maintaining a clean and orderly work area
