Salary: £13.84 per hour during training (first 3 months), increasing to £14.85 per hour upon successful completion of training.
Additional Pay:
- Saturday: Time and a Half
- Sunday: Double Time

About the Role:
We're looking for a Mobile Operative to join a well-established engineering business that supplies specialist equipment across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is mechanically minded and looking to build a long-term career within engineering. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal role for someone with practical experience and a willingness to learn. You'll travel to customer sites across the UK, operating specialist mobile equipment and ensuring it is used safely and efficiently. Projects vary in length, with some requiring you to stay away from home for up to 10 days at a time. Working patterns include days, nights and weekends, with your shifts provided in advance. This is predominantly a lone-working role, so you'll need to be confident, organised and comfortable working independently.
What We're Looking For:
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
- Flexible with UK travel and staying away from home
- Mechanical experience or a strong mechanical aptitude
- Basic machining knowledge or experience (advantageous)
- Water industry experience (beneficial but not essential)
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
