As a Maintenance Engineer – Food, you’ll be responsible for keeping production equipment running safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. You’ll handle a mix of planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdowns, working closely with production to keep things flowing.
Day-to-day, the Maintenance Engineer – Food role includes:
- Carrying out routine inspections and planned maintenance
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using schematics and manuals
- Mechanical repairs, electrical fault-finding, and electro-mechanical troubleshooting
- Welding and basic fabrication work as required
- Supporting installation and improvement of equipment
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to compliance standards
- Keeping clear maintenance records and reports
- Supporting and guiding others with maintenance best practice
You’ll be hands-on, trusted, and expected to think commercially about uptime and efficiency. No micro-management. Just ownership.
