Key responsibilities include: Leading kitchen operations to deliver consistently high standards Planning menus and ensuring dietary/allergen compliance (e.g. dysphagia diets) Managing food stock, budget control, and supplier relationships Overseeing kitchen cleanliness, safety, and food hygiene standards (HACCP, COSHH) Managing staff rotas, training, and development Working closely with care staff to meet individual resident needs Ensuring compliance with health and safety and infection control guidelines The Ideal Candidate – Head Chef Must have: Minimum 2 years’ experience at Sous Chef level or above NVQ Level 2/3 in Catering or equivalent Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate Experience of managing budgets and kitchen teams Desirable: Previous experience in care or healthcare catering environments Knowledge of allergen management and specialist diets You’ll also need to be: Passionate about food and presentation Calm, creative and organised in a fast-paced kitchen A true team player with excellent communication skills Do you feel you match the criteria?
