Counterbalance Operator

Edwards Employment Solutions are recruiting for an experienced CounterbalanceOperatorto join a busy and well-established turf distribution site near Pocklington.

This CounterbalanceOperatorrolesits within the Goods Out department, where you will be responsible for moving pallets of turf and other bagged products safely around site ready for dispatch.

This is a fast-paced warehouse and yard environment working alongside a large team of experienced CounterbalanceDrivers.

This position offersongoing work with the opportunity to move into a permanent Counterbalance Driver positionfor the right candidate.

The Counterbalance Driver Role

As a CounterbalanceOperatoryour duties will include:

• Operating a FLTsafely around the warehouse and yard
• Loading and unloading deliveries using a FLT
• Transporting completed orders to designated dispatch areas
• Moving pallets of turf and bagged products around site
• Ensuring all loads are secure before transport
• Supporting yard operatives with the preparation of outgoing loads
• Driving with care and following allsite safety procedures

Experience handlingbagged products or double stacking using a FLTwould be beneficial but is not essential.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this CounterbalanceOperatorrole you must have:

• A validexternally accredited FLT licence.
• Previous experience working as a FLTOperator
• Good awareness of warehouse and yard safety procedures
• The ability to work efficiently within a busy warehouse or yard environment

What’s On Offer

• £13.00 – £17.50 per hour
• Monday to Friday working
• Weekly pay
• Ongoing work with the opportunity for atemp-to-perm FLT role
