Field Service Engineer – Birmingham / Walsall
Location: Birmingham / Walsall Region
Salary: £36,000-£46,000 per annum + Benefits
We are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to cover customers across the Birmingham and Walsall region on behalf of a well-established engineering business experiencing continued growth.
This role is suited to an engineer with strong mechanical and electrical experience who enjoys fault-finding, problem-solving and delivering excellent customer service while working at customer sites.
The Role
- Service, maintain and repair industrial equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown support.
- Install and commission equipment where required.
- Complete service documentation accurately.
- Represent the business professionally while building strong customer relationships.

Essential Skills
- Mechanical and electrical engineering experience.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability.
- Previous experience in a field service or maintenance engineering role.
- Confident working independently and managing your own schedule.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Experience within the industrial weighing industry would be beneficial but is not essential. Candidates with transferable electromechanical engineering experience are encouraged to apply.
Salary: £36,000-£46,000 per annum, depending on experience.
