We are currently recruiting for a Floor Manager to join the Peter Street Kitchen team at The Edwardian Manchester Hotel. As Floor Manager, you will lead the restaurant operation on the floor, ensuring service excellence, team engagement, and the highest standards of hospitality at all times. You will be a visible leader, inspiring your team to exceed guest expectations while driving operational efficiency and commercial performance.

Overview:
  • Lead and manage daily floor operations to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Motivate, coach, and develop team members to achieve exceptional performance.
  • Build strong relationships with guests, creating memorable dining experiences and handling feedback professionally.
  • Maintain the highest standards of service, presentation, cleanliness, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and management teams to ensure smooth communication and operational excellence.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management initiatives.
  • Drive revenue opportunities through effective upselling and team engagement.
  • Monitor labour costs, productivity, and service standards to support business objectives.
  • Ensure health and safety, food safety, and licensing regulations are consistently adhered to.
About You:
  • Previous experience as a Floor Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager, or similar leadership role within a high-volume premium or luxury restaurant.
  • Passion for food, beverage, and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commercially aware with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
