Responsible for the restoration, repair, and finishing of high-end furniture, fixtures, and surfaces throughout the hotel, preserving the hotel’s refined aesthetic and ensuring all guest-facing areas remain flawless.

Overview

  • Carry out expert French polishing, surface restoration, and fine finishing on luxury furniture and woodwork.
  • Perform Magicman-style repairs on surfaces including wood, stone, marble, metal, ceramics, and laminates.
  • Restore scratches, dents, chips, burns, and other cosmetic damage to a near-invisible standard.
  • Maintain and repair guest room furniture, public area fixtures, and bespoke hotel pieces.
  • Work closely with the Engineering team to prioritise tasks and respond to maintenance requests.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with 5-star presentation standards.
  • Maintain tools, materials, and workshop areas to a professional standard.

About You

  • Proven experience as a French Polisher or specialist surface repair technician.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for craftsmanship.
  • Skilled in colour matching, finishing techniques, and surface restoration.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results under time pressure.
  • Professional, reliable, and committed to maintaining luxury standards.
  • Experience in hotels, luxury residential, yachts, or high-end commercial environments is advantageous.
