Meetings and Events Head Waiter/Waitress – The May Fair Hotel
We are recruiting for a Meeting & Events Head Waiter/ess to join our Meetings & Events Operations Team at The May Fair Hotel.
As Head Waiter/ess, you will play a key leadership role within our Meetings & Events team, ensuring every service runs seamlessly and every guest receives the elevated experience expected of a leading London luxury hotel.
Responsibilities
- Lead Event Service – Oversee the floor during events, ensuring impeccable timing, coordination, and guest care.
- Support Team Management – Guide, motivate, and brief waiting staff to deliver consistent 5‑star standards.
- Maintain Luxury Standards – Uphold the hotel’s service rituals, grooming expectations, and brand values.
- Collaborate with Event Managers – Work closely with the Meetings & Events leadership team to execute flawless functions.
- Enhance Guest Experience – Anticipate guest needs, resolve issues discreetly, and create memorable moments.
About You
- Luxury Hospitality Experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel, private members’ club, or premium events venue.
- A natural leader with confidence, presence, and exceptional communication skills.
- Strong organisational ability and a calm, polished approach under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak event periods.
