Edward Vinson Plants Ltd is based in Kent. STN is a friendly nursery site, located just next to our Sand Banks Fruit Farm site near Faversham.
Main jobs at Autumn, Winter and Spring time are cleaning plants, packing and dispatching plants, sorting plants, planting mother plants in February and general farm jobs.
In January work at STN nursery is slowing down and you may be asked to support one of the other propagation sites including our fruit farm.
Work between January and April includes preparing the fields for the picking season.
Main jobs are planting, fleecing, tunnel work – building new tunnels, lifting heavy nylons to provide ventilation, cleaning the fields, packing, general husbandry work. You will be asked to work on open fields or under poly tunnels. Work will involve heavy lifting, bending, crouching and stretching on a frequent basis so requires someone who is physically strong.
