Our work spans Breeding, Propagation and Commercial field production, developing improved varieties of strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries for growers and consumers worldwide.
We are looking for a Breeding Farm Operations Supervisor to join our team at Kemsdale Farm in Faversham. This role is key to ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of farm operations, maintaining high productivity, and supporting our seasonal workforce. As Breeding Farm Operations Supervisor, you will support the Farm Manager in coordinating daily activities and supervising staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality outputs.
Key Responsibilities- Overseeing daily farm operations and tasks as agreed with the Farm Manager
- Training and supervising farm workers, allocating tasks based on skills and workload
- Monitoring staff performance and providing feedback to maintain productivity
- Addressing labour issues and promoting a positive working environment
- Ensuring trials are harvested and evaluated according to agreed procedures and schedules
- Maintaining quality control standards
- Coordinating maintenance and repairs of farm equipment and tunnel structures
- Optimising equipment utilisation across farm operations
- Implementing and enforcing Health & Safety procedures to ensure safe working practices
- Maintaining accurate operational and compliance records
- Previous supervisory or farm operations experience
- Desirable: Experience working with soft fruit crops
- Practical field work experience
