Looking to kick start your career as a Chartered Surveyor? Are you a Graduate with either an RICS accredited BSc or MSc degree? We have a training programme which will teach you the life long skills required to be a successful and profitable Chartered Surveyor, whilst working in a fast paced environment. Our last recruit has now passed his final exams to become a qualified surveyor and take up his role within the surveying department, so we have an immediate opening.

Training & Development

Your training starts with a 6 - 12 month deployment as a Property Inspector of residential property, completing condition reports and inventories on rented properties. You will be expected to demonstrate your software application proficiency, your observation and analytical skills and diary management. After proving yourself in this role, you will progress to gaining the additional qualification for EPC inspections, allowing you to support our many private clients with their EPC requirements and gives you very early experience of the routine of visiting properties every day and interacting with the homeowners. In addition to this, you will receive dedicated time every week towards extending your experience and knowledge by working across various sectors of the property field, both within Edward Mellor and with our external contacts. All of this will give you the experience and training required to fulfil the RICS qualification requirements within the shortest possible timescale.

Career Path

Upon successful entry to the RICS, you will progress to the role of Surveyor and undertake private residential survey work, fulfilling the ambition you enter the business with.

To apply, you MUST have an RICS accredited BSc or MSc degree and be a car owner with a clean driving licence, living within 15 miles of Stockport. Unfortunately we are not considering applicants with a degree in Quantity Surveying at this time.
