The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Management Accountant will be responsible for producing accurate and timely financial information, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and providing insightful analysis to drive operational and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Provide detailed financial analysis to support strategic business decisions
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain strong financial controls
- Liaise with department heads to provide financial insight and support cost management
- Assist with process improvements and implementation of new financial systems or tools
- Support audit preparation and liaise with external auditors as required
About You
- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a Management Accountant or similar role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Confident communicator with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders
