We are currently recruiting for a Residential Conveyancer (Team Leader) for our client in Lincoln. This position is ideally office based in Lincoln, but can accommodate hybrid working.
Salary in the region of £40,000-£50,000pa (depending on experience). The client offers a supportive team to help create a positive working environment. This role offers a great prospect of progress for the right candidate.
The Role (but not limited to):
- Communicating with clients on a daily basis, dealing with matters over the phone, email or in person
- Updating branches/ building relationships with our referrers
- Updating/ maintaining a case management system
- All aspects of residential conveyancing including leasehold and freehold
- Liaising with other parties’ solicitors, brokers and estate agents
- Managing property transactions, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, New build and Shared ownership transactions, remortgages and transfers of equity from inception until post completion
- Updating clients on progress of matter
- Chasing outstanding enquiries
- Checking mortgage offers and searches
- Title checking and reporting to clients
- Raising and signing off the enquiries
- Maintaining and checking Due Diligence and Risk Assessments in line with the firms’ policies
- Ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering and data protection regulations
- Exchanging contracts and completing the transaction
- Dealing with requisitions
- Mentoring and training colleagues
- Leadership/management tasks
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience as a residential conveyancer managing files end to end
- Proactive, solutions focused approach with strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, confident with clients, colleagues and stakeholders
- Collaborative mindset with a genuine desire to share knowledge and best practice
- Experience mentoring or supporting colleagues or a keen interest in developing others
- Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-moving setting
