Edvance Education is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a primary school in Slough. We are looking for a passionate, caring and reliable SEND teaching assistant who wants to support children with special educational needs in a rewarding school environment.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEND), including:
- Autism (ASC)
- SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health)
- ADHD
- Speech and Language Needs
- Moderate & Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD / SLD)
The role of a SEND Teaching Assistant includes:
- 1:1 SEND support
- Small group intervention
- Classroom-based SEN support
- Support in specialist SEND settings
Requirements:
- Experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant, SEN TA, Learning Support Assistant, or similar role
- Experience working with children with SEND, Autism, SEMH, or additional needs
- A patient, nurturing and resilient approach
- Right to work in the UK
All SEND Teaching Assistant applicants will be required to complete:
- An Enhanced DBS check (including barred list where applicable)
- Two professional references
- Right to Work checks
