EduTalent Group are searching for a number of Well being practitioners for a fantastic setting in West Sussex. As a Well being practitioner you will play a key role in supporting the learning, personal development, and well‑being of pupils. You’ll work alongside experienced educators to deliver tailored support to children with diverse needs, helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

This is a hands‑on opportunity where you will:

  • Support pupils with their educational, personal, and social development.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to planning, monitoring, and assessment.
  • Assist with the implementation of individualised learning strategies and behaviour plans.
  • Promote the safeguarding and welfare of all learners.
  • Engage positively with families, carers, and professionals.

Requirements

Essential

  • Some experience in the care or education of children, or transferable skills.
  • Basic understanding of child development.
  • Ability to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels: children, parents, and professionals.
  • Ability to contribute effectively as part of a team and work independently within a framework.
  • Ability to support children across personal, social, and educational areas.
  • Accuracy in record‑keeping.
  • Motivation, flexibility, and enthusiasm.
  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.
  • Willingness to commit to job‑specific training and ongoing professional development.
  • Ability to self‑evaluate and proactively seek learning opportunities.
  • Understanding of equality, discrimination, and safeguarding issues.

Desirable

  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs.
  • Experience working in an educational or care setting.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and assessment of pupil progress.
  • Knowledge or training in First Aid, PECS, Team Teach, or other relevant SEND‑related programs.
  • Interest in communication or sensory needs.
  • Basic IT skills (word processing, spreadsheets, databases).
  • Understanding of curriculum requirements and how pupils learn.
