EduTalent Group is hiring a SEND Teaching Assistant (Sports Specific) on a temp-to-perm basis, based on the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells. This role is ideal for a proactive and experienced TA with a background in supporting students with SEND, particularly those with complex needs including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH challenges. You will work closely with teachers to support learning in both classroom and sports settings, help maintain a safe and structured environment, and provide tailored support to enable students to achieve their full potential. A valid driving licence is essential.
Requirements
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant supporting students with SEND, including those with EHCPs
- Knowledge of strategies to support students with ASD, Dyslexia, ADHD, and SEMH needs
- Ability to provide 1:1 and small group support to promote independence and engagement
- Experience assisting in sports or physical education sessions is desirable
- Competent in basic IT and record keeping
- Strong communication skills, adaptable approach, and ability to manage challenging behaviour
- Flexible, resourceful, and able to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
- Must hold a valid driving licence and be willing to undertake minibus driving if required
