EduTalent Group are seeking a reliable, confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join a secondary school setting on a full time, permanent term time only basis. The role involves supervising whole classes during short term teacher absence, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with pre set work in a calm and structured learning environment.

When cover is not required, the successful candidate will support wider school operations across a range of areas including enrichment activities, PSHE support, school trips, registration duties and examination invigilation.

This is a varied role that requires strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to build positive relationships with students while maintaining clear behaviour expectations.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people of secondary school age
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification, or relevant school based experience
  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to follow behaviour policies consistently
  • Good understanding of safeguarding principles and child development
  • Confident in supervising groups of students in a classroom environment
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use initiative and adapt to changing daily requirements
  • Experience supporting learning in a school setting desirable
