EduTalent Group are recruiting an Assistant Headteacher / SENDCO to join a specialist education setting supporting pupils with additional needs. This role combines strategic leadership and day-to-day management of SEND provision with a teaching commitment. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to drive school improvement, promote inclusion, and ensure high-quality outcomes for all students, with a pathway to full senior leadership responsibility.
Requirements
- Experience as a SENCO or in a leadership role within a specialist/alternative provision setting
- Strong understanding of SEND legislation, EHCPs, and provision mapping
- Proven ability to lead, manage and develop teaching assistants and staff
- Experience monitoring and improving teaching and learning standards
- Ability to analyse assessment data to inform interventions and strategies
- Knowledge of Ofsted frameworks and independent school standards
- Experience working with parents, local authorities and external agencies
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and promoting high standards for all pupils
- Teaching experience across relevant age groups and abilities
