We’re welcoming applications from Teachers, FE Lecturers or retired teachers who have taught A-level Economics.
The role of Examiners will be required to attend an online examiner conference where training will be given on the procedures of marking A-level Economics scripts. Examiners will mark their scripts online in a three-week period after the examiner conference. Examiners will be paid a fee for attending the examiner conference and a marking fee for each script marked. The Examiner will mark one of the three components from the specification.
Examining is a rewarding and interesting experience that can also be undertaken alongside your existing teaching role.
About you: We’re keen to hear from current or retired teachers or lecturers with teaching and assessment experience in A-level Economics. Candidates should be available for a period of approximately 3 weeks to undertake intensive script marking in May-June.
As an Examiner, you will gain invaluable insight into the assessment process at WJEC. You will have the opportunity to enhance your skill set and increase your understanding of your subject, all of which can inform your teaching.
We provide first class training, guidance and support throughout the assessment process to ensure that you are confident in the work you will undertake. Our extensive support network is in place so you can contact your dedicated Team Leader or Principal Examiner and WJEC's Appointees team as you work through your allocated scripts.
