The Email Marketing Specialist will play a pivotal role in designing, developing and executing responsive email marketing campaigns at ISP. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in HTML/CSS for email, experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Marketo, Klaviyo, HubSpot), and a strategic mindset to drive engagement and conversions through email communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, planning, implementing, and maintaining the overall Region’s ABM (Automated Base Marketing) strategy.
- Creation of dedicated email marketing flows in Hubspot for drip and trigger-based campaigns, ensuring consistent brand messages.
- Creation of lifecycle campaigns to nurture leads/prospects and, in the long run, retain customers.
- Design and develop visually compelling, web and mobile-responsive HTML email templates.
- Build, test, and develop email campaigns using industry-standard ESPs (Email Service Providers).
- Integrate dynamic content using merge tags or conditional logic supported by ESPs.
- Develop modular, reusable email components for scalability across campaigns.
- Ensure accessibility best practices in email design, including use of alt text, proper contrast ratios, and logical content structure.
- Maintain and manage a design system or pattern library for email assets and components.
- Define, track, and report on all campaign KPIs, including deliverability, open rates, CTRs, conversion rates, opt-out rates, and revenue contribution to drive continuous improvement.
- Report on KPIs and on sales revenue generated from email marketing efforts.
- Create advanced audience segmentation and personalisation strategies to improve targeting relevance and campaign performance.
- Integrate HubSpot and external data sources to ensure accurate targeting, reporting, and cross-platform alignment.
- Extend automation across multiple channels (e.g., SMS, WhatsApp, social retargeting) to deliver seamless, omnichannel experiences.
- Perform A/B testing on subject lines, content, and send times to optimise performance and enhance engagement and conversion.
- Ensure emails comply with current email best practices and legal regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR).
- Collaborate with content, design, and product teams to align email campaigns with brand and marketing goals.
- Implement and refine lead scoring models to prioritise high-quality leads and align with Marketing and Admissions teams.
- Stay current on email marketing trends, deliverability practices, and technology changes.
- Manage day-to-day HubSpot workflows, system issues, and automations to ensure seamless execution.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2-5 years of experience in email marketing and HTML design.
- Proficiency in HTML/CSS for email; familiarity with inline styles and responsive design for major email clients.
- Experience with one or more major ESPs (e.g., Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Marketo). Knowledge of HubSpot will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of email marketing KPIs and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, platform-specific dashboards).
- Experience with A/B testing and segmentation strategies.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or other design tools is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and project coordination skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
