My client is a London based secondary school, looking to appoint an experienced Data Manager who understands how data underpins effective teaching, learning, and decision-making in a school environment. This is a senior operational role for someone who has already worked with school data and systems and is ready to take full ownership of how information is managed and used across the organisation.

In this role, you will lead the day-to-day operation of the school's core data and MIS platforms, ensuring accuracy, consistency and confidence in reporting. You will work closely with academic and operational teams to deliver meaningful insights, support assessment and scheduling processes and improve how systems work together. The post holder will act as the go-to expert for data queries, reporting requirements and data quality, while upholding strong standards around safeguarding, access controls and data protection.

Key areas include:

  • Ownership and administration of the school MIS and related systems
  • Data quality, validation and reporting for senior leaders and staff
  • Supporting academic and assessment data processes
  • Managing integrations, imports, exports and documentation

Applications are sought from candidates with proven experience in a school-based MIS or systems role, with a strong grasp of how schools use data in practice. You will be detail-focused, calm under pressure and able to explain complex data clearly to non-technical colleagues. Above all, we are seeking someone with the credibility that comes from having worked within a school, who can partner confidently with staff at all levels and add real value to the organisation.
